The region of the Caribbean known as the Virgin Islands is a global melting pot, predominantly balancing between the brink of the 3rd World and the luxuries of US life. In the eastern quarter of the largest island, St.Croix, an adored hustler bore a son who would grow up to change the landscape of Caribbean music. Raised by a young single mother he would escape the trappings of ghetto life and in time go by the same name made famous in those very ghetto's by his father. That name is Prya.

Prya began showcasing his tropical lyrical onslaught at a young age as part of infamous VI rap group, Deh Fam. From the gate Prya hasn’t slowed down! Now a bonafide member of the juggernaut collective 'Island Boy Cartel', alongside the likes of R. City, Kardinal Offishal, Verse Simmonds, Pressure Buss Pipe & DJ Benny D. Not one to waste an opportunity to learn from his counterparts, Prya's sound has evolved way beyond his rapper roots. His hit song "In A Dream" is a prime example and being his first solo single, established Prya as an amazing lyricist with a ear for catchy melodies and great production.

2017 is looking to be Prya's breakout year as he proves himself to be the go to entertainer when it comes to authentically fusing Caribbean and American music and cultures.
